LOGO CREATION

Given a new endeavor of creating a brand identity for a social organization that promotes resources for building successful events while also being a way to network with other businesses in the Greater Houston area, I approached the design as a system built to energize and empower a social organization centered on creative event-building. A highly-saturated palette with colors like hot pink, citrus yellow, and an almost forest green were chosen to evoke approachability and excitement for how upcoming events may make people feel. This palette was also chosen with contrast in mind, as the brand must remain bold, yet legible across different applications.

Typographically, I paired Bebas Neue Pro and Proxima Nova to balance personality and clarity. Bebas brings confidence and vertical impact to the logo, while Proxima Nova supports readability for larger bodies of text. The starburst motifs and rounded forms act as visual metaphors for celebration, the spark of new ideas, and moments of ingenuity, reinforcing the organization’s mission of communicating unique and inventive ways to create standout events.

Poppin Parties Rebrand

GRAPHIC DESIGN

BRANDING IDENTITY  LOGO CREATION

While Poppin Parties is an established company with a gold/black color palette, the CEO of the company wanted to think of ways to freshen up the branding. Thus, I implemented a few logo choices that included the double P's in Poppin Parties, as well as the community aspect of event gathering.

My goal was to modernize and refresh an existing brand without losing its established recognition. I retained the core logo concept but refined its execution through cleaner geometry, smoother curves, and a more contemporary color palette. The softened purples and pinks introduce warmth and sophistication while still feeling celebratory, helping the brand appeal to a broader, more design-conscious audience. Black and neutral accents ground the palette, giving the identity flexibility across marketing materials and photography-heavy layouts. Futura was selected for its timeless qualities, providing balance, and consistency that elevates the brand. Graphic shapes and spatial layouts were simplified to allow the visuals and event imagery to breathe, positioning the company as polished, confident, and current. This rebrand methodically bridges familiarity and freshness, ensuring the company feels updated and relevant while maintaining trust with its existing audience.

LOGO CREATION

As a junior Graphic Designer at The Arts Center, I assisted in multiple promotional graphics and infographics for affiliated organizations across the Brazos County area apart from our own company.

While each graphic varies across different events, I maintained the color palette of our company, continuously utilizing specific shades of blue and sometimes leaning back into Futura to keep the branding consistent. Originally known as The Arts Council, the rebranding of the center allowed us to play deeper with our graphics. Here, we wanted our city to feel more inclusive and bring the community together, allowing me to promote ideas such as rounded elements to provide a sense of nurture. While each graphic may depict something different, consistency is key regarding picking color palettes to stay on theme. For example, a promotional flyer I created for Texas A&M University originally included a more teal color palette, though as our company was affiliated with the event, I drew back in our brand's guidelines to balance the composition.

I also assisted on editing, writing articles, and updating our organization's website! ACBV.ORG  includes website landing pages, event calendars, member pages, updates, specific events, event photography, infographics, and more.

Folk & Fruit

LOGO CREATION

At Folk & Fruit, the hypothetical juice brand hopes to convey what it's like to miss the past and want to relish in the feeling of being "at home". While we cannot change the past nor revisit this place in time as it has no one to greet us there, we can bring back the feeling of childhood by bringing back simple packaging and values; the feeling of connectivity.

Originally, my logo progression reflected older brands from the 50's and 60's, but I still wanted to include modern trends and the flare of our current age. From iteration to final execution, I redefined forms to be minimal, yet funky enough to still feel as if the brand was a blast from the past.

FREEDOM  GRUNGE

These designs reflect my style and personality as a whole; asymmetrical, disproportionate, and free. I pride myself as being an easy-going individual, and I like to reflect that in my own personal work. Inspired by artists such as David Carson, I wanted to implement grunge aspects into my own projects.

Across all three designs, I wanted to express freedom and individuality, thus prompting very sporadic and almost "random" forms of chaos within each composition. Though, to remain structured, I stuck to specific color palettes and tones within each piece. Moreover, I love the use of overlays and how I may play with texture, so ideas such as these are always inspiring me to think of new ways to create, even if it's just for fun.
